Freda's Story

Freda is in her late 70's and broke her pelvis during a fall. She struggles to walk and is in pain regularly. Freda is often confused and cannot be left alone. Her husband, Arthur, supports Freda with all aspects of daily living. When he was referred to our service, he was struggling to cope with the demands of his caring role. A carer support worker now visits every week to support Freda at home, giving Arthur a much-needed break to attend appointments, go shopping and catch up with friends. Arthur now feels happy to leave the house knowing his wife is safe and well cared for.
