News It's Official - We're Angels! Carers Trust Tyne and Wear Presented with an Angel Award by Liz Twist MP Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, people across Gateshead have stepped up to help out in their communities. Liz Twist, Member of Parliament for Blaydon, established the Angel Award to say thank you to all those people, charities, organisations or business who have done their bit to help out. Over the summer, she has been encouraging local residents to nominate those special individuals and groups who have made a contribution, large or small. In October, Liz visited our site to present an Angel Award to Karina and Angela from our Care Team. We're extremely proud to have been nominated by our community for the services that we've provided during times that continue to be very challenging for us all. I'd like to pass my heartfelt thanks on to the entire team at Carers Trust Tyne and Wear Crossroads Carer Services for all they do to help carers and help the vulnerable across our communities, especially throughout lockdown where they've faced an enormous set of challenges. It was an absolute pleasure to pop over to their centre in Highfield and present their Angel Award. Liz Twist MP Manage Cookie Preferences
